    big weekend
My roommate and I are having a big gathering up at Steamboat this weekend. It is looking like a couple of dozen people. I feel the love :-)

THe various aspects of myself as reflected in my social clicks mingling, something that don't happen often. I wonder who I'll be during the weekend.

dont send email when you are drunk
I did something stupid yesterday. I possibly damagaed a client and friendship relationship, because I let something slid into the evening and then wrote an email to the wrong person with the wrong tone. This is at least the second time that I've been messed up by the impersonal nature of email when I should just have used the phone.

Oh well, I did talk on the phone and it is 90% resolved. lesson learned....(again)

    ANother day another entry
I did get the merchant account integrated and figured out. Turns out that the WF docs used a wrong test CC number. I just went and used the old standby 4111....

Also, the CCP doesn't exactly report the result string with the error back to the user. That is Really poor in my opinion, but I understand why given the 50 payment gateways that are supported. I think I can figure out how to report the error back. That's one of the problems with using off the shelf stuff. At least I didn't have to write the code to interface with WF.

I went to Johnny B's for breakfast this morning. At least I got out. I took a good power nap, and then was able to get some stuff accomplished for my clients.

Still playing the GBA way too much. I understand the difference between console and PC RPG's a lot better now, although they are both scripted. The GBA is just a nicer thing to sit down and play anywhere.

    weather thoughts
Looked at the php GD and jdgraph php library. If they are pretty fast (and jdgraph has a cache), then both can be used to construct nice graphics for the steamboat weather site. Basic temperature gauges are images with graphic shape and text overlays (with a free truetype fonts), for a spiffy look.

    very simple very easy...

    Interesting week
What a weird but normal week. I ended up actually doing some work but playing my new Game boy advance way too much. (Golden Sun, Metroid Prime, Warioware Megagames, advance wars 2). I also got some Cranky stuff done, so there is some time off from that too.

Got tickets to a couple of strings in the mountains concerts from Kurt, for talking about steamboatweather.com and other things. First concert was TS Monk sextet, which was my first real Jazz concert ever. I'm glad that I went, as I liked it a bunch. The teaching company course of listening to music definitely helped, as I did subconsiously detect structure in there.

My client list is evolving in unexpected ways. The Jackson Browne ecommerce site is finally moving, and I was able to talk Cree (JB's management) through a merchant account application. This was SOOOOO much easier than back in 97 at XOR. Two accounts, one for JB's swag and the other for his grandmothers ginger snap cookies (must get some) were applied instantly.

Hans' brother Pete is having me work on a "tough topics" book, which is some christian based morals guide (which is basically good, just leave out the hate and intolerance) and a kettle corn site for the same man. It is good to know that there are other people with very diverse interests.

The Coraccess thing is back and forth. I think it is a lot more complex than was originally described, but that is a good challenge. It will have some interesting client and server side stuff, and I'll have to figure out how to fit things into apache. PATH_INFO is a friend :-)

I'm still hesitant to go out much, especially by myself. The whole bar scene is weird, but I know that it is just fear and some body image and confidence issues. I know that I am great at what I do, but that doesn't necessarily reflect in all conditions. Katzman recommended a ebook for me that should help, although I'm only about 50% through it.

At least I am doing what I love to do, and in a nice place. As this month has reenforced, I have people coming to me, at unexpected times, to get my help with things. That is a great feeling.

    Anyways, Tata for now
